Hi Marc,

I read this post awhile back and am returning to post a question. I'm afraid I'm a bit lacking in understanding the software and hardware capabilities. Can EAGLE run on a Tobii eye tracker machine? Is the software compatible on Tobii hardware?

Hi Marc,

I represent a different eye tracking solution provider, yet EAGLE gathers my interest.

You raise some really good points. And the discussion definitely is of interest beyond a specific eye tracking hard- and software provider and also to a larger user group with different provider preferences.

It would be interesting to start a discussion about various filters to enhance fixation and event quality output - you might find surprising features in commercially available analysis software.

But even more interesting here and now is the question whether your software is eye tracking hardware independent. It sounds like EAGLE requires raw gaze and pupil data as input. Can you imagine (or did you test already) to run EAGLE with other eye tracking recording devices, like SMI iViewX RED remote eye tracking system?

Looking forward to reading more ...

Cheers,

We just started using Tobii in our company. Great your vision about the difference between the two programs.

Hi Marc,

I am a usability consultant and Tobii reseller in Australia. Is EAGLE available for use in Australia?

You show some good insights about Google and how perhaps it is not the most effective layout for optimising user engagement.

I look forward to reading your blog more.
